2. Direct payment through the U.S. Postal Service.

PayPal charges 2.9% of the donation plus $0.30. Sending funds to us via PayPal may be more convenient, especially for monthly automatic payments, but sending funds directly to us commits more of what you give to the work.

Use of Donations

PI’s funds are used for a variety of purposes to assist the wrongfully convicted. Contributions cannot be designated for specific cases or programs. Below is an illustrative list of how your dollars will be used to help fulfill our mission:

• Investigative services (usually about $80 per hour). We plan on linking experienced investigators with volunteers to maximize our funds.
• Travel to meet with an inmate.
• Obtain Trial Records for one case (approximately $750).
• Produce a video documentary to provide education on wrongful convictions and causes, as well as stimulate reform

In addition, your dollars help PI with its limited, but necessary, administrative expenses, such as website management, communications, and supplies. As we develop more, we will post additional details.
